Capabilities
Potter Trucking utilizes a diverse fleet of trucks and equipment that allows
us to perform many different job functions concerning condensate. Our
pressure vessels are built to exacting standards in accordance with the ASME and
US DOT. We operate an ASME coded welding shop with "U" and "R" stamps, and
are registered with the US DOT as a tank manufacturer and inspection station.
- Ventless Liquid Recovery Unit
- The VLR was designed and patented by Troy Potter as a means of
recovering pipeline liquids without having to "flash" the vapors to the air.
This results in numerous benefits:
- No
gas loss to the customer
- Condensate is kept stable at a constant 10-20psi
inside the cargo tank
- No flammable or toxic atmosphere around any employee
on location
- No
flammable atmosphere around the truck
- No environmental damage OR emissions
- Pipelines on vacuum
- Potter Trucking equips every truck with a vacuum pump that ranges from
2" up to 4" depending on the cargo tank size.
- Accountability of Condensate
- When a truck gets loaded it is taken directly to the customers facility
(tank battery, station, etc.). Potter Trucking does not market
condensate for the specific reason that we can assure you that your
condensate is delivered to your terminal/facility
- Safe Loading and Unloading
- All of our trucks are equipped for static grounding in remote locations.
Drivers are trained on the physical and chemical properties of natural gas
liquids.
- Unstopping plugged "drips"
- Over time as scale and sludge accumulate in the pipeline liquid trap,
commonly referred to as "drips", it becomes difficult to recover the liquid.
By using the VLR, Potter Trucking can inject pressure back through the drip
and unplug these blocks.
- Detect pipeline leaks
- Using the VLR we have detected leaks for suspect pipelines that are
under vacuum. After the customer has blocked in the line we can tie on
via any pipeline connection and pressure the line up.
